The goal of this study was to find and compare the attitudes of Iranian English teachers toward the use of videogames as homework for language learning. Another goal of the study was to find if there was any notable difference between males’ and females’ attitudes toward using videogames as homework. To achieve this purpose, 200 language teachers (male and female) were chosen as participants. Instruments used in this study was Pre-service Teachers’ Attitudes towards the use of videogames in English Language Teaching which is adapted from the P.H.D thesis of Mohammed Awad Alqurashi,. After obtaining the raw data, the SPSS software (version 20) was used to change the data into numerical interpretable information. The researcher used an Independent-sample t-test to compare the results of the two independent groups of males and females. The findings show that most of the Iranian English teachers have positive attitudes towards using the video games as homework for language learning. Moreover, according to the results of t-test there was no difference between male and females attitudes toward the use of video games as homework for language learning. |
