Another problem that arises in the field of academic achievement and manifests itself in the form of poor performance and motivation in doing homework related to education and learning, and ultimately leads to academic failure and lack of real capacity and talent of students. It's possible. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of academic vitality education on reducing academic procrastination in male high school students in Ahvaz. The statistical population included all high school male students in Ahvaz. The sampling method for determining the sample was cluster random method. First, one district was selected from 4 districts of Ahvaz and then two schools were selected from that district and one class was selected from each school. Each group was assigned (one experimental group and one control group); The experimental group underwent 12 sessions of academic vitality training based on the theory of Martin and Marsh (2008). The riding procrastination questionnaire (2011) was used to assess academic procrastination. Data analysis was performed by analysis of covariance. The results showed that the training of academic vitality skills reduced the academic procrastination of the students in the experimental group compared to the control group. Also, academic vitality training has reduced the subscale of intentional procrastination and the subscale of procrastination due to unplannedness and the subscale of procrastination due to physical and mental fatigue of students in the experimental group compared to the control group. |
